English Silver Laced Orpingtons

The English Silver Laced Orpington is one of the most eye-catching and sought after colors of the English Orpingtons. The crisp, clear silver lacing of the feathers brightly contrasts against the body of the bird. Leg color ideally is pink or white, although yellow legs have shown up in Silver Laced breeding. Any birds having yellow legs, should not be used in breeding.  Silver Laced hens are good layers, laying 150-180 eggs a year and like other Orpington breeds, can be broody.

We are proud to offer two breeding pens of Silver Laced Orpingtons. One pen is purely EWE Crazy Farms stock, purchased directly from EWE Crazy Farms who imported their stock directly from Europe. The second pen is a combination of birds we purchased from EWE Crazy Farms and Greenfire Farms.
